Ouarzazate – Erg Chigaga
Departure at 08:00 am from Ouarzazate to Erg Chigaga, then starting towards Taznakht, a Berber village famous for its hand-woven Berber carpets and rugs.
After that, the road continues for about 3 hours (90 km) to Foum Zguid, which is the last village before starting the desert.
We will pass many fossil rocks and the completely dry Lake Iriki. Lunch will be in Foum Zguid where you can enjoy a picnic in the Sahara.
Then we will reach the Erg Chigaga (about 40 km long and sandy). These dunes are far from civilization, and you will have the chance to experience Sandboarding, camel riding, and walking on the dunes to enjoy the sunset.
After dinner, we gather around the fire and sing Berber music under the starry sky.
At night you will sleep in the tent in the desert camp.

We recommend you wake up early to enjoy the breathtaking sunrise.
After breakfast we continue our tour of the Moroccan desert from Ouarzazate to M'hamid, then Tamegroute, where we can make a stop if you want to visit the Koran library and the pottery.
We will continue to Zagora and the Draa Valley, where you will pass many villages and gardens along the Draa oasis.
After that we will cross the Tizi-N'Tinfifite pass (1660m), then Ouarzazate, to finish our tour in the Moroccan desert from Ouarzazate.
